Community Outreach

Kick it Kodi has been an ongoing service project that Sanger HS FCCLA has been supporting for several years. This school year the Sanger HS FCCLA sponsored the Kick it Kodi Coloring Book Drive and donated  coloring books, crayons, markers, color pencils, and other art supplies to Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX.  The final number of items  donated was 8,427 items.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month so we hosted this drive the end of September and into October.  All schools, local business, and the community were instrumental in reaching our goal of 8,000 items.

Kodi began this journey battling cancer her kindergarten year and she is a senior this year.  She is a two time cancer survivor and is so appreciative of everything Cook Children's has done and continues to do for her.  This is just a small way to repay them and to encourage other patients going through this very difficult situation.

Santa Paws

Sanger High School FCCLA members collected items for a local animal shelter before Christmas.

FCCLA Angel Tree

Each year our FCCLA chapter adopts a family and provides gifts.  This year we helped a single parent family with a 4 year old and a 2 year old.  We received the sweetest thank you notes from them.
